Baker Optometry

Dr. Baker has been happily providing care to the Davis community since 2009. He and his wife met when they were students at UC Davis and decided to make Davis their home, both working for several years at the university after undergrad before making a temporary move to Berkeley. After Dr. Baker completed optometry school at UC Berkeley, they moved back to Davis and started a family with two wonderful girls who are growing way too fast.

Dr. Xhemalaj (pronounced "Jamal-Eye") graduated with honors to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Xhemalaj enjoys helping his patients live their best lives by ensuring optimal eye health and clear vision.  He grew up outside of Cleveland, Ohio and currently resides in Sacramento, California with his wife Danielle and adorable canine companion Tobi.

Born in Southern California, Dr. Wong lives in Davis with her optometrist husband. She completed undergrad at UCLA, optometry school at UC Berkeley, and residency in low vision at the SUNY. Having been the lead Low Vision Optometrist at Society for the Blind for 6 years, she deeply understands what would happen if you do not take care of your eyes now. You only get two and we have to protect them. Dr. Wong no longer practices low vision. She is also a voice over actor in her spare time.

Dr. Barnett is a globally recognized expert in dry eye disease and contact lenses. Her work has been featured in medical journals, professional publications, and consumer outlets, including The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Prevention Magazine, and Good Housekeeping.

Dr. Barnett earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is passionate about helping people enhance their lives through personalized care that optimizes vision, health, and overall wellness.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and cooking, and can often be found poolside cheering on her two sons.

Dr. Nuha grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and attended the University of Nevada, Reno for her undergraduate degree. She then moved to California to attend the Southern California College of Optometry and completed her residency in Ocular Disease at Azul Vision.

Dr. Nuha enjoys helping her patients achieve clear vision and maintain healthy eyes so they can enjoy the things that matters most to them. Outside of the office, she is often trying her hand at cooking, thinking about her next dream travel destination, or spending time with family and friends.
